Fizzy Drinks! For years my family would socialise with Hamish as we lived just opposite each other. I was about 12 when this relationship started and we would spend evenings in Hamish's flat eating, drinking, talking and sometimes making music. Hamish was clearly concerned about what a 12 year old (and subsequently 13 - 18 year old) should be offered to drink when the adults were clearly going to be consuming wine. So he bought cans of fizzy drinks specially each time and chilled them in the fridge. I was in heaven as the closest we ever got to having fizzy drinks at home was a Sodastream which, frankly, didn't come close. He never bought coke but lemonade and fanta were always on offer and I loved it! Strangely, now that I am all grown up, we don't have fizzy drinks in the house either. Or a sodastream. But whenever I see a can of fizzy pop, I always think of Hamish.
