Hamish was the most vital presence, and most present person, that I think I ever met. I relied upon him to recharge and reenergise me when we met, twice or so a year. He met me feel ready to set the world on fire, but never guilty that I hadn't done it yet. Because for him there was always time, to change, to improve, to take the path you may not have been brave enough to take before. His belief in the wonderful future waiting for others to create was testament to his generosity of spirit, and belief in the best of everyone. I shall greatly miss you Hamish, but I am pleased to carry a little piece of you with me always, and it will always be kindly pushing me forward to do my best, and to remember to THINK. Jane xxx
